About Tekapo Heights

We came to Lake Tekapo in April 2009 having sold our sheep and beef farm, which we had for 17 years. During our years of farming, we also did Farm stays, meeting a lot of people from all over the world. So shifting to Lake Tekapo to do B & B is a slight change for us but not a major change. We've also built a purpose built house for guests who would like to self caterer while on holiday.

Our family comprises of Steve and me and 5 children, 4 cats and 2 dogs - Caviller King Charles spaniel & a Teddy Bear dog. The older 4 children have all left home, having all done well in their careers and are now self sufficient. (Or we like to think so). We still have one daughter at home, Jenna, going to school at the local Mackenzie College in Fairlie.

Breakfast (cooked or continental) is served in our large kitchen, dining area, which has magnificent views of Lake Tekapo and surrounding mountains, all opening outside into the front lawn and garden.

There are many activities from scenic flights around Mt Cook to relaxing in the nearby Hot Spa Pools on the Lake front, or for the more active a walk up Mt John (or you can drive up) enjoy a cup of coffee while looking out over the Lake, mountains, and vast Mackenzie District. You won't run out of things to do and see in Lake Tekapo.
